You might think this is an ego boost, a way for me to make myself feel important in an industry where scene cred is currency. And maybe you’re right. You might also think this is a desperate attempt to sink my claws into the bright sparks around me and ride their coat tails to sweet glory. And you’re probably on the money there too. But more importantly this is my way of giving back to a scene that above all else needs the support of the people who immerse themselves in it. It is me literally putting my money where my mouth is and hopefully helping out the bands/artists/people I think deserve it. The more we help each other out the more we will all benefit. It’s time to forget the agendas, the politics and the bullshit. It’s time to do work, son. ------ After recently touring the East Coast with fellow Newcastle outfit Postal, Tired Minds have announced that they will be releasing their debut EP through Break Bend records on September 12th. The EP was recorded with Mat Taylor at Scabbey Road Studios (Safe Hands, The Delta Lions) and mastered by the popular Alan Douches in the US. Mark in Wednesday September 12th for the launch show at The Cambridge Hotel in Newcastle.
