![]() Melbourne indie-rock trio Celadore announce the release of their new EP, 'The Bright And Blue', through Popboomerang Records/MGM. The band recently entered Melbourne's Red Door Sounds, solely intent on leaving with a recording that captured them at their very best, as a live band. Lead single 'Kinks In Armour' and the urgent opening track 'Bakery' are discernible examples of this, brooding pop-rockers containing hooks upon hooks. 'The Bright And Blue' also marks the first production effort by Chris Cheney (frontman of iconic Australian band The Living End), who's guidance and influence allowed the band to focus on creating the organic, live sounding record they set out to make. “Celadore are a band to watch… Neil Finn meets 'The Bends' era Radiohead meets You Am I. For a relatively young band, they possess a sense of melody and a depth to their songwriting that’s beyond their years. They are really great players who have found their own sound.” - Chris Cheney Released in May 2010, Celadore's debut EP 'Distance Is A Gun' was well received by community radio and music media. The success of the EP's two singles, 'Make Sure' and 'Distance Is A Gun' paved the way for the band to tour the country extensively on multiple occasions, crafting their now compelling live show. 'Distance Is A Gun's eye-catching video was also featured on Rage, Video Hits, Channel V, Landed TV (Southern Cross) and 'clip of the week' on Channel 31's 'SYNtv'. Produced by Chris Cheney, engineered by Luke Postill (Children Collide, Red Riders) and mixed by Woody Annison (Children Collide, Red Riders, Screamfeeder), 'The Bright and Blue' consists of four infectious songs that showcase the band's broad yet cohesive take on melodic pop-rock. Catch Celadore on 'The Bright And Blue' EP tour, stretching across 6 states from October 22 to December 10, 2011.
