 Forming in Brisbane sometime back in 2004, South East Queensland quintet Driven Fear signed to independent punk / hardcore label Pee Records in 2009 and have two memorable releases to date with the label in their EP “Society’s Finest” (2009) and “Pale Fate” (2010) split release with Singapore’s Mouthful of Air. Throughout the band’s existence they have toured their homeland numerous times and have two international tours under their belt, visiting South East Asia in 2008 and again in 2010. Driven Fear has shared the stage with punk / hardcore stalwarts such as such as Shai Hulud, Death Before Dishonor, The Ghost Inside, Toe To Toe, Break Even, Against and Ignite. 2011 saw the band head back into the studio to again work with Sam Johnson at Three Phase Studios in Melbourne (Mindsnare, Toe to Toe and Day Of Contempt) to record their latest effort titled “Contender.” This 14 track full length serves up hard-hitting, message-based punk / hardcore that fans of Raised Fist, Comeback Kid and Final Fight will like what they hear. |
