Christchurch hardcore band - Sixlip Started in 2003. In the beginning, 4 Christchurch homeboys wanted to create a straight up and honest hardcore band. Around the same time they were further inspired by New Zealand and Australian hardcore bands like Evil Priest, One Must Fall, Against and Shot Point Blank who were taking hardcore to the next level at the time.
Through the years they played some memorable national and international shows with the likes of Most Precious Blood, Antagonist, The Bleeders. Sixlip destroyed crowds with their straight up hardcore and inciting many a pit. The band’s sound and work ethic caught the eye of a few labels nationally and internationally.
