![]() Their name is derived from a section of lyrics in Counting Crows’ song "Ghost Train," which proceed as follows: "Took the cannonball down to the ocean/Across the desert from the sea to shining sea/I rode a ladder that climbed across the nation/Fifty million feet of earth between the buried and me." The band was founded in early 2000 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina by vocalist Tommy Rogers (From Here On, Undying, Prayer For Cleansing), guitarist Paul Waggoner (Prayer For Cleansing), drummer Will Goodyear (Voids, Prayer For Cleansing), guitarist Nick Fletcher (Azazel), and bassist Jason King (Azazel). Two of the band's members are also part of fellow North Carolina band Glass Casket, Dusty Waring on guitar and Blake Richardson on drums. This has caused some to question the future of Glass Casket, although neither member of that band says that Glass Casket will break up anytime soon, as other members of that band are currently busy with college. |
