This is the credo that new Melbourne Hardcore band Declaration, have chosen to follow while creating their unique brand of fast melodic hardcore.Drawing influences from bands such as Sick Of It All, Bane, Good Riddance and Champion, Declaration is a band that is intent on making their presence felt, and their voices heard.
Declaration's pedigree is as telling as their music. Featuring past members of former bands Procedure 286, Capt'n My Capt'n, The Arch Rivals, The Exiled and The Defiance Report, Declaration is a band that has been around, and seen the hardcore scene change dramatically over time. The band maintains that change and progression is a good thing in music, and something that is vital to keep the scene fresh and current. This however should not be at the expense of the core values that were the foundations of hardcore.Passion, meaning and conscience are all on the agenda for Declaration, a band that wishes to challenge as well as engage, and pay respect to those that came before them.
