![]() The subsequent year saw their debut EP "Streets Become Hallways" spend 30+ weeks on the AIR Indie Charts, while the band quickly developed a reputation as one of the most explosive live outfits in the country following tours with Alexisonfire, After the Fall and 28 Days. Blunt magazine soon labelled them as one of the their bands to watch in 2005. "Promise Me" is the first taster of the band's hotly anticipated forthcoming EP "Heart Attacks and Callous Acts". The band shacked up in Melbourne for 2 weeks to record the EP with acclaimed producer Kalju Tonuma (Superheist/Bodyjar) and the results are plain to see. The track retains the band's trademark blend of melody and venom, whilst also showcasing an ability to write choruses and hooks that prove they can stand out from their counterparts. The Hot Lies are set to embark on national tours with Gyroscope and Swedish punk rockers Millencolin in the lead up to the EP release, before undertaking their own headline tour later in the year.
